I only know them because they woke me up. I fell asleep on the couch in 2001 or 2002, and I woke up in the middle of the night and apparently whoever had that chunk of public access decided to play some punk/ska-adjacent stuff (Los Angeles) and I woke up during this video and thought "This is exactly the thing music videos don't do any more. This is the most of music video that I have ever seen. This is the essence." The other video that left an impression on me was this one, and this band ended up less obscure:
