@amerika@bigmattoidchimpin People who haven’t been around long enough to have lived through the repetition of sociopolitical cycles will naturally tend to be more prone to defeatist overreactions than those who have been around for a longer time. For example, I recall how younger people on the Right such as Andrew Anglin and PA from PA World & Times Blog, were in full-on ‘Book of Revelation’ mode after Biden was sworn-in at the beginning of 2021. I was in my mid-40s at the time and my reaction to the Democrats and their Dollar Store coup d'é·tat was amused indifference at best, and I imagine that was probably typical of my generation as a whole. My daily posts on the Fedi remained the same in tone and in content as they had always been.
**(“Well, I Guess This Is Growing Up” by Blink 182 plays softly in my head as my hair gets grayer by the day.)
@amerika@admin Sarcasm? If not, you're trying to spin that yarn to the wrong guys.
It might be a great site. I suppose I can't fault folks unaware of his real history and supreme lolcow status for liking his verbal spiel. I did too as a teenaper, back in a time of limited alternatives when all were made to believe he really was Governor Wallace's grandson and Patrick Bateman 2.0. Yet if Chrischan made a nice "Occidental" blog or web-site dedicated to saving the West, would anyone patronize it? wallace.png youre next.png
He's a great writer and for years has identified important issues.
As to the personal stuff, I never pay attention to that because (a) rumor is often wrong and (b) it's irrelevant.
I am more interested in what people do. It makes me a bit hippie, but I like being easygoing about the things we can be easygoing about (if you know what I mean).
I just got active again on The Apricity and The Phora (!!!) which are still active. Kind of cool to see the old guard keeps... guarding?
@bigmattoidchimpin I’ve never seen those transcripts. I knew that Lindstedt had or still has an ongoing lawsuit against Reo, because he always mentions it wherever he posts comments on sites outside of his own forum. Come to think of it, I believe he has several ongoing lawsuits against several parties, including the city of Granby, MO. In years past, Lindstedt would periodically post comments at Brad Griffin’s :hunterwallace2: site, and he would always inject the status of those lawsuits into his kayfabe-like diatribes. I would love to see those transcripts if you can locate them.
@admin Posting lewds on Gab. :mel_laugh: Can't say I've seen that thankfully. Well, except weirdo Hunter Biden shit. I recall certain "Chinese" or pretend Chinese obsessed with spamming that junk forever.
Oh yeah. Have you ever read any of those transcripts from the Lindstedt/Reo trial? I got to find 'em again. They were truly hilarious.
@bigmattoidchimpin From what I can recall, there was one other user, this guy called ‘FatKike’, who would sometimes post on Lindstedt’s forum. He also would call in to Lindstedt’s radio show. I think I talked to FatKike once or twice on one of those shows, but he later disavowed me because I was posting lewds on Gab.
@admin@amerika@bigmattoidchimpin I paid a little too much attention as a kid, and I remember how the civil war was supposed to kick off after waco and ruby ridge. Janet reno was supposed to go door to door confiscating "assault weapons" and murdering all of us left and right
Didn't happen yet though. Every generation likes to think they're going to be the one going through the hero's journey when everything comes to a head - but in reality we're just keeping the chain for better men yet to come
@WashedOutGundamPilot@admin@amerika@bigmattoidchimpin The counterargument is that things have been getting measurably worse very rapidly, and we're starting to hit a point where there's no more inertia left to burn. It's not as if we're watching the Roman Empire collapse over the course of centuries - the Pax Americana is no older than Taylor Swift, and it's already on its last legs, with a decisive loss in the Ukraine and a deteriorating Middle East situation that it doesn't look like we have the diplomatic competence to navigate.
Things do happen - WWII was apocalyptic for Europe, and that's not too far in the past. Still in living memory, if only barely. The Cold War followed it up, and we're less than 30 years out from that coming to an end. Lots of people envisioned the USSR as lasting forever too, but the kind of people who ran it, and who run the U.S. now, are not built for making long-horizon decisions.
@AmericanChampion@admin@amerika@bigmattoidchimpin Yeah but the USSR didn't collapse into a mad max wasteland. Much of our general side seems to think the real big fight is surviving absolute anarchy for decades on end - it's left them extremely vulnerable when all their mental models surround fighting masked bandit mutants instead of coordinated but dysgienic nigger hordes under the banner of law
This is an episode of COPS that was filmed in Moscow in the summer of 1989, and you can see one particular incident of a stabbing that took place at a high school dance, because a bunch of Azerbaijani migrants were harassing Russian girls.
Had the USSR gone on, it would have only gotten worse.
