    Personally I'm a First Contact apologist, when I realised Jonathan Frakes wrote and directed it I was like "... okay, yeah, this is probably how Riker perceives the world of TNG, as opposed to what we usually see, Picard's perception."

    @errante I don't really care much about knowledge in this sphere beyond what it can gain me in the immediate term tbh. Maybe one day I'll try and pick up some recreational hacking, I did a hacking game once (as in one involving actual penetration of a test server, not a video game) and it was really fun, well explained, and introduced me to some neat ideas like SQL injection.

    It made me want to learn more but I perceived the learning wall and realised it wasn't jugglable with the other stuff I devote my time to.
