@alcinnz And beyond that: performance matters because people's time matters. Performance matters because carbon emissions matter. Performance matters because people with limited hardware resources matter. Writing slow, sloppy, wasteful code is just basic lack of respect.

If you want to know why some shops offer free WiFi to their customers, this is the reason: it improves tracking accuracy.

Always turn off both WiFi and Bluetooth when you're out and about. Turn them on only when you're in places you trust.
