@foone my favorite is the diagonal 'this is where I go' stripe across each card
In theory, somewhere out there, someone must have module extender cards to let you test on the cards with them popped out the side

@foone I have this bonkers old Sony that is in the running. It's a three tube camera
@foone nice analog delay line taking center stage there :3
@foone Just to get in the right general ballpark - pop the video out up on a scope, set the trigger to TV line if available, or otherwise just set the trigger to normal mode, falling edge, adjust the level until it's below 0v and mess with it till it stabilizes. Do you have a burst at the beginning of each line?
(See my highly useful pinned... shitpost.)
@foone YES!
@foone suboptimal.
@foone my experience with the Conner disks was that they'd work fine then one day start ferociously read retrying over and over until they start dropping off the bus.
@foone ahhh. I forgot about that series from them.
@foone is that a Conner? That's kinda just the way they crumble
@foone what about those of us who just happen to have an ATSC encoder and possibly even enough working pieces of exciters lying around to make something work
(it's my eventual plan to try lighting that up on the 70cm ham radio band just to see if that even works)
@foone dot crawl ALL OF THE THINGS!!!!
@foone that is the most gloriously primitive protocol I've ever heard of. Thing straight up reminds me of AMX192, a 1970s stage lighting control protocol
@foone I was just looking at the tester to see where to get one and
Heh heh heh tree dix
@foone I'm somehow glad to have never seen this nor the use case for it. Somewhere I might still have some devices that required a cursed A to A type cable which actually came with a warning label on it not to lunch the interfaces on two PCs by attempting to connect them together, but that's about as close as I've gotten
@foone ah, my sleep paralysis demon USB
@foone oh no. Those.
@foone thank you for reminding me, I need to dig my old Wyse terminal out of storage. Best I can tell it should just work once a bad rectifier diode is replaced. It's got a less intricate PSU than yours
@foone @cxberger .... Hi did I ever mention you're excellent?
@foone
*deep breath*
HhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
