@arch tempus1.gum.gov.pl. I actually found out they have one clock in that room which is set to run ~2 ahead of UTC time, to make up for the lag when transmitting the tones to the radio station

@ftg @RueNahcMohr the one in the middle? its not DDS, its an analog VCO with a counter and a digipot strapped in front of it. No PLL :(

@ftg @RueNahcMohr this is the new layout for mine. all the kit in the middle needs a new place, i have not decided yet where to put it. But the arrangement is more ergonomic now, with scopes on the left and iron on the right

I've been on fedi for a while but I never really wrote an #introduction, so let's go
I'm polprog, an electronics and embedded hacker from Poland. I like doing creative things and finding interesting stuff to work on. I've been doing a lot of things with #FPGAs, RF and analog electronics as well as #microcontrollers. I like low level programming and #reverseengineering
A non exhaustive list of other things I poke at:
- Embedded systems
- #photography, digital and film
- Motorola/Symbol terminals
- #retrocomputing
- BSD Unix and strange little operating systems
During the day I deal with #photonics which is my engineering major.

My x220i with 8GB of RAM was yesterday running 4 QEMU instances (software emulation), each running a different OS, today I just had to force reboot it because the system froze after I opened a word document in Teams :cacogun:
