@vertana Can you explain? We think you are confused about this will work.

We do honour requests from remote servers to delete accounts, but sometimes it does not happen as expected.

So we're building a feature to automate this process so anyone can easily purge their old deleted account from any Pixelfed instance ✨

@Mrfunkedude The channel was originally created by someone else and I was added as admin through Freenode and over time for whatever reason I was stripped of my admin powers.

It's not really a dramatic story, I don't have time to wait for it to be fixed, as someone reached out months ago from Matrix side, nothing was ever done.

Due to losing control of our Matrix channel, we are officially moving over to Discord for now.

It's a shame, but we can't properly moderate our Matrix, so we can no longer recommend it.

We just shipped a minor change that limits new accounts ability to send DMs until the account is older than 72 hours

This is in response to reports of DM spam originating from pixelfed.social
