@thatguyoverthere >only becomes apparent but it is always a factor and over a long enough timespan small variations could lead to magnificent differences in experience. Do you have any evidence for that?
I'm not saying we *should* have schedules BTW. Just that they *did*.
@thatguyoverthere >I also think that measuring time with high precision is actually inaccurate (due to the relativity of time itself) I don't think it's that relative. Time dilation only becomes apparent when you travel close to the speed of light. But it's been a long time since I studied physics. Anyway, they still noted down time in the modern way, I think (my French is not good). The author means schedule, not time exactly.
@japananon I mean, obviously the forced bit is bad, but if that was what bothered you, you would have just said "rape" or "forced marriage" or whatever
@thatguyoverthere I figure someone interested in, say, linguistics might browse the linguistics hashtag. That's why I use it. I guess it's also useful to people who want to find posts about linguistics. But no one has so far. Maybe fediblock is to blame? Also, IIRC some AP implementations allow you to follow hashtags. I can't remember which ones. Misskey's antennas, I think.
