@aral I'm sorry. Didn't wanna argue for the sake of argument, just wanted to maybe reach a middle ground where we could agree that _some_ telemetry might be useful and ethical in some cases. In this case, I am with you. No go for me (pun intended)

@aral Ah and the fact that it's opt-out (and probably gonna get harder to opt-out over time) is a huge red flag, of course!

I think so. And I also think it's possible to have ethical, private telemetry. I certainly don't think Google is the company I'd trust to do it, but some people genuinely just want to have an automated way to improve other people's lives, I think. And they might work at Google (unfortunately)

@aral @Erik have you thought about moving to Portugal? A cool place with cheap houses in some areas

Do you have any browser recommendations? Firefox?

@aral I use Arc and it's a pretty good browser for my use case :(

Wish it would be open source though
