Just got the end-to-end-encrypted Kitten¹ Chat example running!
Yay! :kitten: 🎉
Next: going to pull out the remote message event emitter and /inbox route into Kitten proper (latter is going in the Small Web protocol) and refactor the example.
After this, I’m looking forward to implementing the publishing functionality for public posts that all Small Web apps will be able to use (i.e., for “following” people on the Small Web) :)

  @filipesm I’ll share more once it starts to exist. Let’s just say I’ve been doing experiments with web sockets and they are (a) very lightweight and (b) you can have lots and lots of them* ;)
  * So, to give you an idea: enough to handle twice my follower size without any tweaks on commodity hardware and definitely the 80% use case (1-10,000 followers) without breaking a sweat. The only folks it wouldn’t scale without special tweaking to are the top 1%. But I’m not designing this for the 1%.

  @aral Cool! Will it follow any spec'ed protocol like AP? Or is it more lightweight than that? Or just totally new?
