@foone @cadey Probably because certain parts of the construction go to motive.
Otherwise there's not really that much difference between a pipe bomb and a badly engineered model rocket engine, fireworks, etc.
Heck even in pipe bombs, clearing a tree trunk or fence post versus putting someone in the past tense on wikipedia is different only in the details.

@foone I made so many bad life choices with VB6, like the time I started writing a set of IRC services bots in it.

@foone I got 11 notifications in all, from 8am to 7pm.
The company who provide the app said it was the city council's decision, and you can't opt out except to mute all notifications (including the one of hey your parking expired, did you get back to your car?), then closed the ticket.

@foone Our tiny city recently converted all the meters to an app, and as far as permissions go it's not super offensive. They also grant the first 30 minutes free, which appeased some folks.
But on Black Friday - which I have heard some Aussies find really offensive because "Black [day of week]" generally refers to a day a bushfire killed a bunch of people - the city decided hourly notifications (noise and all) via the app reminding you parking was free all day was appropriate.
Bastards.
