The actual writing itself is going smoothly; I'm just questioning if I've wasted my hours on the shittiest slop imaginable that only makes sense to me or if I'm just being anxious

finally got to the first h-scene to write, but i'm still not even close to the end of the story aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
i don't even wanna think about writing alternate routes with how long it has already taken
maybe it's a good thing i applied for a job, because there's no way i'm getting this done by this month...

i ended up writing a book end, but the story doesn't end here still
it would be a nice way to end off the entire vn, but there's still loose ends i left intentionally to tie up in this last part
question is... because the story centers around these two characters in the second part of the story, and all the side characters either died or haven't had much use in the previous parts, the question is how do i make them more useful during this last part which REALLY focuses on the pairing?
this basically resolves the protagonist's character arc, now for her love interest, and also how will i get to wrap everything else up in a nice bow?

not sure if this is good progress for just the true route the vn's supposed to take, but it is what it is, even though it's still not done...
i got saturday (today) and sunday before i have to go work my first day at my new job, which wants me to wake up fairly early (9am, i need to wake up at ~7:30am to wake myself up and get ready for work)
i've been in this hell a few times already, i don't want work to drain my soul and i become unable to work on my project...

i'm trying to figure out how to add/remove files as a patch in order to add sex scenes while keeping the steam version (relatively) safe
unfortunately, i don't know how to check for if a file exists, and if it does, call its functions

my gui still needs customization, but the internals of character interaction is ready!
all i gotta do is basically copy-paste everything i copy and pasted and modified from others into the main project, then i can go ahead and start writing!
that being said, i should probably release a demo for people to play so i can get criticisms of my writing rather than going ahead
i'm not sure if i can send out demos without a steam page, and if having a private steam page affects how it's pushed to peoples' recommendations and feeds
but i'm gonna take a shower, clean up, and then decide if i wanna learn and fuck with guis, or wrap up my story script for reals so i just need to focus on writing everything in ren'py and make the decision branches after making the main story branch
though i still need to figure out how i want to design the gui and title screen and stuff to match the theme and stuff of this story i'm telling
or i decide to sleep after this, dunno
