@nixCraft really personal opinion, but I don't understand some people seriously dislike Windows but have no problem using X at the same time.

@nixCraft like a soldier who want to be a human but can't. Maybe it's the way how any human society goes.

@nixCraft Vim wouldn't cut it because customers wouldn't be able to quit staring at the menu because they don't know how to quit.

@arstechnica No... Imagine people huddling around in the living room wearing one of these things to watch TV together. Yeah. Not gonna happen.

@nixCraft It seems like the success of recent techs all hinge on how much they manage to hype themselves up. Not necessarily direcly by themselves, but convincing others to voluntarily amplify the hype.

@arstechnica I actually don't mind people voluntarily risking their own lives doing unreasonable things. Just don't do harm to others. But what are the odds of not doing harm to others when you're doing unreasonable things on the road?

@nixCraft Maybe a corporate mindset would be, after tapping on a calculator, the latter is still better because the yearly expense is much cheaper (while approximately doing its job).

@arstechnica Let me ask again. What good are they doing with that huge impact to the environment?

@nixCraft Idk. Suppose you didn't affort a good meal when your bank balance was $0. Now that you're making $100 a day, you decided to invest in your better meal and the balance keeps going down to $0 again. Would you call it negating the bank account?

@nixCraft My grandmothers all passed away before I got to have a real job, unfortunately, but it seems like NOBODY understands what I do outside where I belong, including my parents, my siblings, my friends, my dates, my favorite teachers, and so on. In fact, they don't bother to learn it so I don't bother to explain it either.

@nixCraft Idk whether or not it'll fly, but I can see a minor(?) marketing fail because when I searched for it on Google, 99% of the images were of the people wearing it, not what they see. From that, it looks like a VR headset, which many people don't find too appealing (to buy one, let alone thinking it as a must-have item).

@nixCraft that facial expression is somewhere between "how dare you" and "I have no words."

@nixCraft I doubt how many people can be a small dog. The standard nowadays is crazy.
