Yeah, that is what happens when you steal content from everyone without giving credit or paying for it. Now, everyone is banning your AI bot from accessing their data. Not to mention, the company overhyped its products and is currently dealing with multiple lawsuits for stealing data for training AI.

nixCraft 🐧 (nixcraft@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 08-Feb-2024 14:18:28 JST nixCraft 🐧 Multiple stuff is happening:
1. They overhyped the technology.
2. Their traffic is going down each month despite introducing new stuff.
3. People are losing interest because LLM makes stuff out of the thin air i.e. hallucinations.
4. People are cancelling their subscriptions, too.
5. Expensive tech, especially GPU cost, is high to train newer models.
6. Multiple lawsuits from copyright holders. They caught OpenAI multiple times using unlicensed content. Now courts will decide. Etc -
nixCraft 🐧 (nixcraft@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 08-Feb-2024 14:25:16 JST nixCraft 🐧 This is why Google needs to be careful with its search index and not pollute results with LLM hallucinations. We already know Bing failed to retain userbase despite strong integration with LLM.

At least, not in my industry. #grifters

The problem is the concept of it. Bing AI is still too slow, slower than a google search. I don think AI integration to search is a good idea because of this. Also ui is too complex for a search result. People tend to stick their habits and this affects how search results are shown too. I couldn’t use bing more than 2 days even i was too hyped about ai integration on products.
