    You cannot create your own SSL certificate and expect it to work on the internet in the browser.

    There was an effort once called the DANE but it failed so we have Let's Encrypt instead, which works well-enough.

    Blockchains are slowly transferring us away from all the nightmare of DNS and SSL all that crap, so don't expect a lot of new RFCs that will allow your self-issued (not self-signed) certificates to evolve.

      In cryptography and computer security, self-signed certificates are public key certificates that are not issued by a certificate authority (CA).     The World Wide Web was not "built", it evolved to where it is today.

    Which should be a reminder to all of us creative people that we do not design and we do not build shit, everything must evolve before it is happily owned by those who had no part in any of it.

    People need to be educated about this shit called "environmental impact".

    "Mother nature" is a psychopathic mass murderer and nothing has a chance to last too long. Everything rots and decays, and unless there is materials imported from outer space all of it is "recycled".

    During the day works as a manufacturing component engineer, off-hours he is a GNU/Debian, Web2 infrastructure expert and still an undisputed 3D-printing mechanical inventor and all-around champ!I seldom confuse political activism with civic activity, so when I do post about politics it has to do in regards of civic life in the USA.
