Surprised by the parallels between the Salem Witch Trials and events that occurred in recent years, and others that still occur.
So many parallels in fact that I don't have the energy to list and define them all. One thing I am sure of though, the Trials hold valuable answers and lessons for our struggles today.
I do not imply that witchcraft does not exist, or that viruses do not exist (that's a different issue), but the abuse of things that cause fear to exert ruthless and lethal social control.
The parallels don't stop with the orchestrated Covid pandemic but even extend to the loli question, which now and then comes up in this part of the internet.
Did you know that none of the people who actually confessed to have practiced witchcraft received any sentence or punishment, but only those who defended their innocence? Did you know that those who accused others of witchcraft actually did dabble in witchcraft?
The Trials provide huge parallels to today's Cancel culture and equally important lessons.
The lessons extend to Puritan thinking, which made the entire colony susceptible to such manipulation in the first place. A topic worthy of multiple books. The people did not know about theater. Contrast this with medieval Japan where culture flourished. Where theater reached such refined and noble heights that troupes offered performances as gifts to the gods.
Anyone who thinks events from the 17th century cannot offer insight and guidance to today's issue has not looked around him properly, has not understood his current situation and reality. The insanity once limited to the colony of Massachusetts, leading to the death of the infamous village, has now global reach, wielded like a weapon by those who understand its inner workings and effects. -

Something deeply deceptive about the female SJW at Kotaku, Alyssa Mercante, shaming Grummz for opposing DEI uglification in games by saying Grummz himself does not look attractive.
The deception lies in the fact that we're talking about two different things, art and reality. The purpose of art transcends reality, operating in the metaphysical. Art aims to infuse reality with values and ideals, not to document reality.
If the art we consume glorifies the ugly it affects our norms and values in alignment with a culture of death. If, otoh, it idealizes the beautiful and vigorous it glorifies life and health (mental and physical), and everything required for it.
Life underpins all traditionalism as THE primary value.

There can be beauty in the ugly (decaying flower) and ugly in the beautiful (poisonous flower). But to outright denounce beauty and idealize ugly (replace flower with poo) contradicts the life-giving purpose of art.
To base this defiling of art on the fact that reality itself shows us ugliness confuses not only the two different natures of art and reality, with separate purpose, but also ignores that reality shows great beauty and a continuous renewal of life in man and nature. Thank God. -

Just watched a banned documentary about a Russian Neonazi movement that ended in 2006. Had to use an Azerbaijani VPN to even access it.
Interesting content and perspective. I do not condone the nihilistic and anti-Christian sentiments, and I regret watching some of the clips of public killings in the documentary (some of them worse than ISIS), which obviously satisfied the sadistic inclinations (or worse) of the members.
But underneath all the violence and self-destructive supremacist rhetoric lies a justified objection. "Why do our governments allow and facilitate the flooding of our countries with foreigners?" they ask. "Why do they hide and manipulate crime stats? Why do they stay silent about the deaths of those innocent victims who fell victim to immigrant violence?"
If officials and ordinary citizens would acknowledge these questions, acknowledge the problem, acknowledge the large scale crime perpetrated against these nations, there would be no need for such extremist movements that often, as in this case, end on a tragic and fruitless note. -

✔️ Based on international and personal experience I say a large team of at least 20-25 people worked together. In the news we only saw a portion of this group that caused this monstrous event. Some carried out reconnaissance of the area, others studied the technical documentation of the Crocus, others equipped them with weapons, etc.
✔️ Thorough preparation went into the terrorist attack. Molotovs or grenades do not set a building on fire instantly and in multiple places. Flammable materials were surely placed in several rooms, in addition to arson in different parts of the building. Such a carefully prepared operation bears the mark of a larger team. ✔️ Neither the investigators nor the detainees mentioned ISIS. From my personal experience with members of this terrorist organization: if they get caught, they admit their involvement immediately.
