@PonyPanda Good question. I don't know the answer. The current trend of escapist myth does not send a positive signal. Despite all differences in social and professional norms Japan at the end of the day lives in the same purpose-free modern Western system, including a high barrier to procreation and the (looming) threat of mass immigration.
