At least they use their hardware to the bitter end. I think panels with that resolution were available for like half-a-year around 2008 before economies of scale led to fullHD-screens getting considerably cheaper.

I'm using this to point out that Wrights didn't just pop out from the sea, but that they stood on the shoulders of others.

The missing piece was their skill as bicycle manufacturers to bring the weight of the components down.

(There are stories of unthethered flight before Caley, but as the saying goes: inventor is the one who invents something last (eg. writes their method down and demonstrates use worth copying the method), not the one doing something first.)

Well, arguably both internet and email became popular when commercial operators were allowed operations in the second half of the 1990s.

At that point Internet had existed half a decade, and email two.

Also: expecting sainthood of mortal people in a complicated world is rather unconstructive. Even as "greater good" -arguments rarely end well.

Is this even available in EU? After update I had some of the settings toggled off, and some had been marked as "not available in your region".

Yeah, to me 47€ for shirt+shipping plus 24% VAT at the customs on top was a bit too much, even though I was really keen on buying one.

Hopefully you'll do a rehash with an EU-partner at some point :)
