@ryo Yeah, I get problems from time to time. Database just chugs periodically.
I wanted to do a vacuum job on it, but my free disk space is too small. I need to either port the instance to a new server or spin up something new, and I haven't decided what to do yet. But moving the existing instance looks like it'd be a big pain in the ass, and it probably wouldn't fix the database troubles.
@PvtProperty@sjw@VidMasterEon@merchantHelios Just remember that any Japanese girl who'll fuck a gaijin is either looking for free English lessons or is just a bottom-of-the-barrel skank who can't land a full-time employed Japanese husband and knows it.
"A subcommittee of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare approved the payment of a lump-sum death benefit for a 26-year-old woman who died after being vaccinated against the new coronavirus. This is the first time someone in their 20s has been recognized.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, a 26-year-old woman died of "subarachnoid hemorrhage" after being vaccinated against the new coronavirus. No underlying medical conditions have been identified in the woman.
A subcommittee of experts held on the 12th at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare accepted the payment of a lump sum death benefit and funeral expenses, saying that it could not be denied that subarachnoid hemorrhage after vaccination occurred due to vaccination. This is the first time that a person in his 20s has been accepted for payment.
In addition, it was decided to pay four men and women between the ages of 74 and 95 who died after being vaccinated against the new coronavirus. With this, a total of 15 people received a lump-sum death benefit due to death after vaccination."
@DaoHeShen >Is this just so he can (attempt to) save face when leaving Twitter?
There are rumors to that effect, yes. Maybe some alphabet goons sat him down and made him an offer he can't refuse, or maybe he just wants to sell before everything collapses. Hard to say, but he seems to be setting the stage for his exit.
As for the link policy, all I know right now is Twitter Support deleted their post with the rules explanation, but have made zero followups to clarify whether its still in effect or not. Meanwhile, attempting to post Masto links (and even a few select Pleroma links) results in the same "harmful content" message preventing submission.
I am John Mastodon, and I am here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to his social media feed?
No, says the man in Cupertino. It belongs in our walled garden.
No, says the man in Fort Meade. It belongs to PRISM.
No, says the man at Twitter. It costs you $8.
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Mastodon.
A pile of Ruby garbage where the journalist would not fear the chud, as long as he followed the six million requirements to not get Fediblocked. Where the artist would be free to create, as long as they meet the mandatory Diversity Quota.
And with the sweat of your brow, Mastodon can become your social feed as well.
