@japananon The clamor around Meta EEE on the fediverse is overblown, I think. Gab allowed federation, and rather than siphoning users and instance owners from the network, the other instances ended up taking users from Gab, and they shut down federation. Meta's attempt will probably look similar.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @Dr_Barlos I could understand being blinded by "muh alt-tech doesn't work" the first time, even though that's jaded old man behavior to not even try it out, but to fuck it up a second time is just unbelievable. Why hasn't he hired a consultant for tech shit at this point? Sam must be the definition of penny wise and pound foolish.

@icedquinn @JapanAnon Most people's dislike for trannies comes from when they act like jannies. Pleroma trannies like to post about lain and are generally unobtrusive for an end user, so people don't care if they want to be the little girl. Akkoma trannies may be of a different temperament, so I understand his reluctance.

@JapanAnon I'm conflicted on this. I'm pleased that twitter is going down, but I am mad that journos are going to take credit for it. Hopefully all the journalists get brutally killed in an unrelated incident, so I don't have to stomach their gloating.
