I used to have the single drive version of this at one point (SD-1?) and while the build quality was impressive it not being 100% 1541 compatible was a bit of a let down. It worked fine as a second drive though, for the most part. -

Good thing Aral's original post is calling out Israel (the state, and by extension its leaders) and not Israelis (the people as a whole) then, eh? -

Of Israel. People are not the state in which they dwell. People are not their government. These are not difficult concepts to grasp. Insisting that the two are synonymous indicates either a very poor understanding of how power is exercised even in so-called democracies at best, or an intentional conflation in an attempt to further a political agenda at worst. -

I love the classic look of the tank mouse. The reliability, less so. I think my original back in the day lasted maybe a year or two of regular use before I had to replace it with a 3rd party one. I'm honestly a bit baffled at how many people still have working examples. 🤔 -

I was a relative late-comer to 3.5" disks getting my first Amiga in 1989 and even at that point a 10-pack was ~$30CAD at the time, over $60 in today's dollars! It seems like a minor point now but it really can't be overstated how much more affordable 5.25" blanks were at least up until about the mid-90s. -

HD drive mechanisms set into "quad density" 300 RPM mode so they could be formatted to the same capacity as DD 3.5" disks (and work within the data rate limitations of the Amiga's floppy controller).
