either a shop or proper school, spend your first bit ferrying wrenches around and being asked to find the prop wash, then after that you get more and more responsibility, get up into the $30 an hour range, and then if you get good and stick with it (as well as get a reputation with the expensive stuff) you're making 6 figures at a fairly young age -
