Yeah lemme just find a local business that deals with computer parts. Oh, wait, there's none because they were all bought out by Best Buy and RadioShack (which went under so now there's no DIY electronics places around at all lol). Well, what about the hand tools I use for woodworking? Oh, nobody makes those locally anymore and you have to order them online from a select few companies that make them? Hmmm what about non-specialized tools? Oh, there's no local companies that actually make them, even the ones you can buy at what few mom-and-pop stores still remain, so you're still giving business to big corporations? etc etc.
>Do you think producing something locally is gonna be cheaper if you just ban imports or make expropriation?
I think that the dollar value is irrelevant if you make local and handmade the only option and force your economy to rebalance to accommodate it. What are they gonna do, not buy milk? -

Thatโs a bad excuse.
>Implying "within the same country that takes up 3.8 million square miles" is a qualifier for "local business"
lmao
>blacksmiths
Where do you think they get their metal stock from?
>your millennial easy lifestyle depends hardly on globohomo instead of doing things by yourself
Not a millennial lol

Domestic =/= local when the country is 2800 miles wide. A product from California is by no means local to a town in Kentucky.
>Do you also want a Brazilian wife who is not immigrant?
No I don't like black people
>the source of raw materials rarely matters
Exactly why doesn't it matter?
>expecting solutions without any effort
But the solution is an inevitable one and doesn't even necessitate my effort, since this whole shitshow isn't sustainable. Covid showed the world that and now the Russia situation is showing it too. It will die on its own.
>Do you need electricity? Learn to depend less of electronics or buy a battery+solar panel.
Yeah, tell me all about the local solar panel manufacturers that don't rely on gay and complex international or transcontinental supply chains. -

Yes, I am arguing for a system that does not necessitate complex goods like computers or cars or electrical systems or anything that depends on foreign resources or any resources (material OR capital) that need to be transported over vast distances for production.
>This is 100% accurate, but the system as-it-is will not die by itself
"This is 100% accurate but it's not 100% accurate"
>They tried to do big changes with COVID about society and economy, and achieved several points of their own agenda, even if already failed.
Changes that only increase the speed the system is heading towards the cliff.

>If your intention is to destroy globalism as a whole including global economy, then you will have a hell and ton of civil wars.
Yes, and?
>Like it or not (including myself), most people are OK with the globohomo
Yeah most people ARE oblivious retards, i agree
>itโs going to be suicidal. Specially when most cities canโt survive by their own local production, even more, most people are too used to industrial society and they donโt even realize how much unnatural are their lives.

Woodshop ๐ (woodshophandman@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 01-May-2024 21:09:25 JST Woodshop ๐ The concept of dogie wife is a miserable one. Saying that you want a wife who likes being around you, who smiles when she sees you, who's loyal and affectionate instead of someone who feels like a drag all the time. Tell this to so e people and they suggest that what you want isn't a wife, but a dog. How disgusting that's what we've come to.

The equivalent on Moon or Mars would be making bricks from regolith, extracting metals and oxygen from regolith.
A man with an axe can build a cabin. You can't drop a man on mars without a space suit, external food supplies, complex systems needed for survival let alone resource extraction and processing on a planet WITHOUT BREATHABLE AIR, etc.
