Yeah lemme just find a local business that deals with computer parts. Oh, wait, there's none because they were all bought out by Best Buy and RadioShack (which went under so now there's no DIY electronics places around at all lol). Well, what about the hand tools I use for woodworking? Oh, nobody makes those locally anymore and you have to order them online from a select few companies that make them? Hmmm what about non-specialized tools? Oh, there's no local companies that actually make them, even the ones you can buy at what few mom-and-pop stores still remain, so you're still giving business to big corporations? etc etc.
>Do you think producing something locally is gonna be cheaper if you just ban imports or make expropriation?
I think that the dollar value is irrelevant if you make local and handmade the only option and force your economy to rebalance to accommodate it. What are they gonna do, not buy milk?
