    Rough size. I should be able to get continuous grain across 2 sides with the top and bottom and then the front and back will be cherry. I will use finger joints all the way around and then add magnets and hinges to finish it off.

    @Flick flashing is a common spot for leaks to occur. It looks like it's been taking on water for a while. Hard to tell if it still is from the picture. If it's damp it's a sure bet it is.

    The other day someone ordered food to be delivered and it showed up in an escalade with the driver and passenger not speaking more than 5 words of english. The guy who handed me the order had a gold grill. I might be in the wrong business

    I also need to build some storage. I saw a cart that held a bunch of scrap and even had a space for sheet cutoff which would be ideal.

    Another big (importance not scale) project is some kind of tool cart/cabinet that can give me a place to put the table saw, planer, chop saw, and circular saws when not in use. The table saw has a frame already but the planer and chop always need a spot.

    I didn't get everyone's gifts done. Next year I am definitely starting all this much earlier. Once we're done with the season I'm shifting focus to shop projects so I'm not running around trying to find material and tools. First on the list is a saw bench that kind of looks like a kids split top work bench. That will double as a bench for the baby or a stool, and it will give me a place to work while I build the full size workbench.

    I am also pretty excited to try building a spring pole lathe, although after looking around a bit I might go for something that uses a wheel and a treddle. I think a human powered lathe would be pretty handy and a good way to learn how to use the tool.

    @charliebrownau yeah usually if I am making saw horses on site they are kinda throw away. The ones I have here have metal hinges. I am planning to build a small saw bench soon which will double as a workbench for the toddler.

    @charliebrownau I have these adjustable roller stands that kind of work like saw horses and out feed for the table saw and planer. One of them is a little janky but they work great. I also have saw horses but I usually just use the roller stands which can rotate to a flat surface. I've even used it as a temporary work table while building the doghouse.

    The next thing I'm building is a little box. I have a few ideas but I think for simplicity I may just use finger/box joints on every outer surface. I got some cool invisible hinges for it and I already ripped the maple for the top and bottom. I'm going to stick with the theme and use cherry for the sides. I may rip that down in the mornings after I've had some coffee and given the cutting board some more oil.

    I think the glue will hold that breadboard together just fine. I'm going to give everything an hour for the glue to set up a bit and then I'm going to start shaping. I may have yo wait a little to make the hand holds as that might require persuasion [impact] which could affect the glue
