I think the only good plan has to include people making their own plans, but the WEF shit and the modern liberal would prefer a centralized plan where we all take a little poison so we can suffer together.
> One thing I observed about democrats is that many of them did want to improve things
I have come to a kind of similar conclusion. I think "leftists" have not been entirely wrong about what problems we face in modern society, but their proposed solutions are almost always shit. -

I agree that there is a learning curve and a need to prioritize and plan your activities, but I like gaining and improving my skills personally. I think there is peace in being less dependent on external sources for things too. -

I think we often consider convenience and comfort to be the same thing, but they are sepate in my view. I think having to solve problems on your own or plan ahead is an inconvenience, but it doesn't mean discomfort. The only added discomfort I think I've noticed over the past nearly decade of working to be more self sustaining is having to break ice when it's well below freezing so my birds have something to drink. -

A lot of papers are not accessible unless you are a school or government or pay a shitload of money like schools and governments do. -

Back in the day people would can or ferment the things they wanted to hold on to for winter. Also there are fruits people are completely unaware of because grocery stores just can't stock them. Paw Paws and mulberries come to mind, but I'm sure there are others. -

The reason I reject the conclusion isn't simply that I don't like it. It's an incredible claim, and I know that industrial scale farming is especially hard on the environment. The focus on co2 allows them to ignore the nitrogen that runs off into rivers because the soil is dead and too compacted to absorb the petroleum products they spray to trick the plants into thinking the soil is healthy. -

I personally have a hard time buying that we need the extra output considering how much food is lost in the system. It seems like if food was grown closer to where it's needed and people ate seasonally we could reduce waste and feed more people with less total output. -

I don't buy a lot of environmental fear mongering, but yes I do care about whether or not what I do helps or harms the planet. -

The idea that my plum tree is somehow less environmentally friendly than buying them in the grocery store from across the country or international growers is laughable. -
