Learning about the last 2 centuries, and the middle ages, became a lot more enjoyable, and clearer.
I'd say summary statements of events and motivations are nearly worthless. And, may only serve to capture the bias of the summorizor.

@bleedingphoenix Everything past the middle ages? I think there are surviving documents, other than the Bible I don't currently have many.
I imagine it doesn't matter how far back you go, you still wont be able to rely upon summaries, Source documents will still be required, because people have agendas.
So far as I know, even very old civilization left behind writings on clay tablets. So, there should be something for you to read and learn from regardless of how far you go back.

@idea_enjoyer I've honestly not encountered anything like my post in the wild. It is always some twisted version about giving money to a pastor or church.
Giving to get, doing to receive.
When you separate out the shit everyone is mixing into it. You just have a lot of scripture, where God talks about taking care of you, and doing stuff for you.
Surprisingly, people react poorly to hearing about God's goodness. Like they have come to accept Him as being harsh and hard. They get angry when people suggest otherwise.
