@rysiek DPAs tagged this kind of behaviour as a dark pattern which IS NOT gdpr-compliant (btw here’s their report from this year https://edpb.europa.eu/system/files/2023-01/edpb_20230118_report_cookie_banner_taskforce_en.pdf).

IMHO, if you have time, notify it to the DPA or to any watchdog like noyb or panoptykon. They will probably take care of it 😃

@grobmeier Lawyers tend to present things in exhaustive way. Believe me, I know, I used to be a lawyer :p

#GDPR is written quite well and simple, but it doesn’t mean applying it irl is. That’s why it is so important to actually understand fundamentals like who is actually a controller in specific case, what are legal basis and why consent is not always right basis. If you want to wrap your head around GDPR I highly recommend going through stuff produced by NGOs (like @noybeu )

Sure, check out @panoptykon or @icd These two are 🇵🇱 entities, so mainly their content is in 🇵🇱, but they are doing an awesome job for #privacy and #Dataprotection .
