@Hoss@Terry That's quite an aggressive answer to the escalation from UA of using long range missiles to trigger a bigger war before Trump takes office. I would've thought Russia wanted to keep things cool until Trump comes and starts peace talks.
@greyarea@japananon The XMRchat code is open as well if you want to steal some ideas. https://github.com/sa8ab/xmrchat I only used it to send myself test tips but it worked fine. There were a few small friction points that could make the laziest people give up along the way: - having to send 15 cents (0.001xmr) to prevent spam registration - having to give your master address (starting with 4), so that means creating a new wallet for OpSec reasons - giving your private view key (I don't know why the public view key is not enough)
Other than that, once you have spent five minutes setting things up, it's seamless. One donation page for users, one received donations page for the owner.
I was browsing xmrbazaar after seeing that some people are using it as an Airbnb alternative, and why am not surprised to see @japananon on there, selling T2 doujins for Monero, 草
@asa Some people do make cool stuff with it. Not sure what use it could have in the real world outside indie games or posters, but cool nonetheless. https://boards.4chan.org/g/thread/102332654
@greyarea@japananon Agreed. You won't see me go to summer events when it's 35c+ 70% and without AC. I work outside sometimes and have to wear cooling gear to not have a heat stroke, I won't pay to do it during a weekend too.
@SuperSnekFriend@Remi Fun fact, the majority of what is told about Unit 731 is false and post war Chinese lies, and the whole Dr. Mengele and the holocaust... well...
@m0xee@japananon@Hyolobrika The majority of non-Jap weeb living in Japan don't speak enough Japanese for watching raw. When I lived in a guest house 15 years ago the owner kept whining that he was receiving letters from the ISP and cops because people kept downloading animes on the house's IP. Nowadays I assume most people know to use a VPN or Tribbler, or they do it via the hotel wifi or something.
@japananon Putting aside the insanity of the COVID shit when children are not even endangered by COVID according to official sources, I despair when I see other expats from my home country vaccinate their children according to the norm here. There are at least twice more recommended vaccines for children under 5 here than there is in our home country, which is also a first world country, and yet they do not ask themselves if one of the two country is wrong, if maybe they are putting their child in harm's way by doing either of the protocol, they just... do whatever the NPC woman with a pink gown in front of them tells them to do.
The trust that people have in the system, the government, the medical industry, is insane to me. If you ask them about the corruption of all those institutions and the rate of medical malpractice etc, they already KNOW all of that. They're not ignorant. There just... passive? I don't know what word to use.
How can you be passive for your newborn's health? There are some things I just don't understand.
@japananon Being able to hotwire cars from spawn is a very good perk because it's a pain to improve mechanics, but don't forget that there is always a likelihood to find keys close to a vehicle if you activate the "investigate area" mode.
@japananon Why would they do that? The only reason would be that they're threatened by the state into doing this, or they think that it will allow them to lay low and don't attract attention, but even then why not just say it. Seems weird.
@japananon Not sure I have used OnRamper specifically before, but I've tried buying some XMR via CakeWallet/monerodotcom before and I always get blocked at some point because the fiat/crypto/country/paymentmethod pair is not available. I assume it's easier to buy LTC and then swap it yourself of course.
