チャノさん (japananon@mitra.anon-kenkai.com)'s status on Thursday, 04-Apr-2024 15:08:23 JST チャノさん @Mark Sankei (the new publisher) has the advantage of running their own newspaper, so they can generate their own headlines about it. I think the lib-left papers might have liked to ignore it, but the arson threats (which Sankei announced themselves) became too much of a news topic to ignore, especially once the Police accepted Sankei's filing of business obstruction charges. (Interestingly, Sankei claimed the threats came from a German domain, though written in Japanese).
So far, I see everybody taking a very reserved, neutral stance...nobody wants to be seen condoning the arson threats...but many shoehorn in the "some consider this book harmful to gender minorities etc etc" line in their reporting.
