Every Linux user is talking about how good their Linux flavor is and how everyone should try their choice. Right? So by now, we must have thousands of flavors out there. Have you even tasted 2% of all the available flavors? How do they taste? Asking for friend ๐ค #linux#opensource
@_elena Many people enjoy algorithmic content, and they also try to manipulate the algorithm for fun or profit. However, on the Fediverse, there is no algorithm to manipulate. Humans boost only quality content. Just ignore those irrelevant posts/claims and continue posting content that is important to you.

Reviews discuss Apple's lower energy usage performance for the new Mac Mini with M4 and its good performance in video/audio apps. Would it be a good fit for running a web server with Nginx or Apache, and how much static and dynamic content one could serve from it? Sadly, I don't think so macOS is fully optimized for server-side. Of course, I never tested it so I don't know but it will an interesting experiment for sure considering that AWS has mac Minis
Meanwhile, BBC reported that Google reacts angrily to report it will have to sell Chrome. Google has made clear it is a proposal it opposes.
"The DOJ continues to push a radical agenda that goes far beyond the legal issues in this case," said Google executive Lee-Anne Mulholland in a statement.
Nailed it today! My buddy needed a USB router cable for serial access and bam! I found one in my trusty box of ancient cords. I gave him that cable in his need of the hour from a box of random cables Iโve had for 25 glorious years. This is why I horde ๐
Suppose you see someone, perhaps your co-worker or friend, or someone switched from Windows to Linux and struggling with the command line. What would you do?
Iโm going to be honest: I still donโt understand the point of Threads. It feels just like IG. The discovery features are lacking. Thereโs little to no presence from the infosec, tech, IT, or FLOSS communities. No major government or company offers tech support using Threads either. Instead of creating a separate platform, Meta could have simply added link-sharing and text post options to IG. They went out of their way to build it, but it offers nothing special and their alog just sucks.
I know this sounds like extreme views, but these companies have taken jobs from honest working people like book writers, artists, video/audio editors, authors, copyright editors, and more while taking their hard work to train their shity AI. I have zero sympathy for anyone who causes job loss or doesn't compensate for others' hard work. You are not curing cancer here. If anything, you are heating our planet and making energy expensive for everyone.
If you want to hit OpenAI, sue all its investors, like Microsoft & others. Go after their cash cow business, such as Windows OS and MS-Office, and ban sales of those apps until everyone is compensated for these copyright infringements. Make sure until that time, all OpenAI APIs are blocked too. Hit everyone associated with monstrosity. These companies have sued kids for downloading MP3s. The same laws should apply to OpenAI & tech bros. You are not special because you are billionaire brat
