   Nailed it today! My buddy needed a USB router cable for serial access and bam! I found one in my trusty box of ancient cords. I gave him that cable in his need of the hour from a box of random cables I’ve had for 25 glorious years. This is why I horde 😅

     @nixCraft If I may take this moment to congratulate you on vindicating cord-whoreders the world-round, and plug my own modest method for enabling our ilk at any scale to quickly find the once-a-decade requests we get from those nearly lost souls (and data) we saved from the pit.      @nixCraft I was trying to breath life in to a 30 year old laptop today and I needed a modified parallel cable to bypass the BIOS lock. It took a couple of minutes of digging in the assorted boxes of old cables and hardware, but I found one! A quick bit of soldering later and the BIOS lock is gone!
