@ArdainianRight @Omega_Variant I don't think Job is theoretical or an edge case. I think Job is THE example of a Christian suffering. You don't know how little people care until you're going through it, and you don't know how many people will simply blame you and walk away, or worse, pile on.
Job's friends are the norm, not the exception.

@hazlin Not at all. In fact, most modern churches speak often of God's love for us to the exclusion of any talk about God's discipline.
I would have to hear more about what you are describing to understand it better, and I would have to hear your discussion of all the parts of the Bible that address the suffering of God's people before I could accept what you are saying, and it has to be deeper than "people get angry when they hear God wants to bless His people."
Of course God blesses His people, but the Bible is also full of comfort towards those in trials which they don't understand. If your worldview can't account for this at greater depth than "they're not real Christians", or "they were in sin," your worldview has some gaps that will need to be addressed
