I never met a real nazi afaik, but my German teacher and her mother were raped by Soviet soldiers when she was a really young girl.

I completely agree with that. The word "Nazi" is a modern synonym for devil and "Hitler" is a modern name for Satan. It's so stupid.

Not just Russians stopped the Nazis. People from all Soviet states including Ukraine were pressed into service for that job. Ethnic Russians were mostly officers and barrier troops.

The reason was that the Kremlin promised they wouldn’t invade Ukraine.

Being so wrong so confidently means the assumptions should be revised. In this case maybe not everything the Kremlin is saying should be taken as absolute truth.

I didn’t think you were implying that, it’s just part of the rationale Moscow used for centuries to rule over Ukraine.

The stated goals in Feb 2022 were:
1. Demilitarization
2. Denazification
3. Regime change

(The biolabs came later, and Lavrov wasn’t able to substantiate it. If you are interested I can address the rest)

Stopping aid won’t bring Russia closer to those goals.

We have to be able cooperate as countries as well as individuals, otherwise we get ruled by those who are able.

(Admittedly, it’s a fine line to walk, as the ones we put in charge of that corporation can easily exploit their position.)
