It’s true kids don’t want to work because there’s no payoff like there used to be but ideally this would lead to more risk taking but that’s not happening either

@Moon Risk taking in the current environment is sub-optimal. To be able to take a risk, there needs to be both the opportunity of succes, and the ability to recover from failure. Economic and social conditions have made recovery from failure so burdensome that it's simply not an option to many people. And those who still can take the hit are finding that the payout from success isn't the huge return that it once was. Betting everything doesn't move you up the social ladder, it just has the possiblilty of making your rung more comfy.
Basically, the everyman is priced out of risky ventures. Such strategies are once again the domain of the already moneyed who can keep throwing capital at businesses until they find a unicorn.
