i hadn't watched all of digital circus when i posted about it earlier and i'm pretty surprised, it was better than i thought. it's like Veggietales but existential and not christian, aimed at an older audience. fun.

japan likes it, too, lot of anime art for the clown girl.

biggest impression from digital circus and the coffin game as of late is that there is some glimmer left in Western art, albeit indie. it's funny seeing people talking about it where it would predominantly be anime. i wonder how much it would take before japan starts to have a proper rival again, because it could definitely use some competition.

that reminds me, i recently came to the realization that mantis girls come in variants. take the orchid mantis, for example: they come in pink.
