@cwaig with an account on baraag, you have the ability to set in your preferences to auto-expand all sensitive markers.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 03:00:21 JST koi @cwaig I do not understand what you mean by buried by default. Badi is not shadowbanned and the only reason why the post is like this is because they put text in the CW input field. If you leave it blank it functions literally the same as before the update to baraag.
In any case, I wish you all the best in finding a new community that aligns with your views on what you consider censorship and art.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 02:52:46 JST koi @cwaig show me an NSFW image board that does not have an interstitial warning page that forces the visitor to confirm they are an adult.
You are free to suspect I am kowtowing to misskey.io but this has absolutely nothing to do with them. Every passing year there are new laws in the US trying to implement some sort of age verification mechanism because parents don’t want to parent. I see the writing on the wall.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 02:30:30 JST koi @cwaig quite frankly, I consider clicking through a blurred sensitive flag to be inconsequential compared to other platforms that require you to log in to even see adult content such as pixiv or tumblr.
Artists here are able to post to baraag and publicly share it to others without being account-walled. I realize the update is confusing but fundamentally there is no new rule change. The step to mark sensitive has changed but there are no new steps added.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 02:29:22 JST koi @cwaig I do not allow pro contact rhetoric here on baraag. Please provide the name of the 3D artist that made such a statement.
I think your anger towards the rules here on marking NSFW media as sensitive content is misguided. My priority is to keep this site alive, a community that so many artists depend on without compromising on freedom of expression. I must adapt to the growing regulations when it comes to age restricting us from exposing ourselves to children.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 00:35:41 JST koi @Taullo if it came down to it due to tightening legal restrictions and our current sensitive content markers are no longer enough to be compliant with upcoming new laws, I would put up a bounty to have mastodon forked with an interstitial page that appears for all viewers that are not logged in.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Friday, 11-Oct-2024 00:03:52 JST koi @EscBoy yes, an interstitial page would be an absolute godsend in liability coverage to all adult-oriented mastodon servers.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstitial_webpage
If the mastodon devs were to add this feature, I would go back to being more lenient with marking NSFW media as sensitive content on baraag. I’ve yet to formally write a feature request for it on github.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 23:10:51 JST koi @EscBoy I hear your frustrations and totally understand. Being forced to change the manner in which you choose to publish your works is a valid grievance. Marking NSFW media as sensitive content is something baraag has to do if this community is to survive the grip of new regulations.
There is a bug with the new update that makes it so that you cannot unmark NSFW when it is enabled as default in settings. I know it is not ideal to manually mark all your uploads but I hope this is fixed soon.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 23:00:55 JST koi I am aware of a bug with v4.3 affecting users that enable “always mark media as sensitive”.
After having it set to automatically mark media as sensitive, the ⚠️ CW button does not highlight to give you a visual cue to show it is already marked by default. This also means there’s no way to toggle it off to post something SFW without the sensitive marker unless you turn it off & go back to manual.
If you’re on github, please comment/react here:

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 10:12:24 JST koi @CFWCoreRevived it may be best to just change it in your settings to automatically mark posts as sensitive so you don’t have to worry about it.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 01:43:31 JST koi @WillytheWanker this setting is for your uploads, not what you see.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 01:16:04 JST koi If you upload NSFW more often than not, you can just go into your account preferences to make it so that media is always marked sensitive by default without having to click the ⚠️ each and every single time when posting.
-
koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 01:05:26 JST koi @DarksonNico it appears all your posts are already marked sensitive by default so you do not need to go back and edit anything. Having it set to automatically mark all uploads as sensitive in your account preferences means you do not have to take the step to manually do it every time you post NSFW.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Wednesday, 09-Oct-2024 23:34:54 JST koi specifically regarding the rule we have requiring it for anything NSFW, the step to mark media uploads as sensitive content has changed.
To do so, you must simply click on the ⚠️ icon after uploading explicit content.
You can optionally leave the input box for “Content warning” blank but please remember that it is still required to add the tags for #gore #guro #3D & #AI in the main text body itself at the very end.
However, I encourage everyone to add tags for ease of search and filtering.

koi (satori@baraag.net)'s status on Tuesday, 01-Oct-2024 23:54:48 JST koi @matana it was only recently that US states have begun to target online adult content. I see the writing on the wall.
I truly understand the frustration behind what you perceive as a false flag against clothed pinups. Do you feel that the latest figure I boosted by cheez is falsely flagged?
As for the double standard of not moderating male titty, I have no defense for the social construct that allows a shirtless man to jog outside but not a woman except that we live by arbitrary rules.
