@Zerglingman@diresock >aryan padawan nah he's exposed himself as non-white doesn't even know how to manipulate his racism field! surprised by the long distance of hate particles! even a two year olds can reduce the test scores of a black person from miles away. It's almost instinctive.

of nothing>try to do a thing >toes hurt >conclusion: I need shoes with strong toe protection >buy some >all of them hurt even more >only one older shoe works OK. Well, whatever, that's the shoe for when I want to do this thing >(time passes) >you-are-ruining-your-feet.mp4 >have-you-seen-what-a-FOOT-looks-like?.mkv >buy 'minimalist' barefoot shoe >NO toe protection >"well obviously I can't do the thing with this shoe ... but let's try" >toes don't hurt at all the problem was that normal shoes are so stiff, I couldn't properly put any weight on my toes, but instead was jamming them against the inside of the shoe and putting the weight on the front of the toe instead of the bottom of it.
@Rasterman@ChristiJunior how to react to a spoiler WRONG: post about it at length. Pull your hair out. Scream bloody tears. RATIONALE: the traumatized response will sear he details of the spoiler into your memory, and you when watching the media you will 'be spoiled' largely as a desire to validate the intensity of your response.
RIGHT: fucking ignore it RATIONALE: you'll easily forget what isn't important to you, and you'll easily focus on the media instead

of nothing>Shiori sounds so pissed what the fuck lmao in reply: >Because people found her rape vacaroos and reported them to management. Q: is it a joke? A: the vocaroos are linked in the thread >Forget complaining about other ENs for overblown issues, this girl is an actually disgusting human being. For once words such as turbo slut or absolute whore actually accurately describe a holo. eh who knows what her real life was like
@blueknightfrank >You say you want to "stop crime" but when closely examined your beliefs are really to transfer the victims of crimes from one group (innocent people) to another group (criminals themselves). This does not result in the stopping of crime! >Heh. I bet you never thought of that. I bet you feel pretty silly now. an MRI may not to get the bottom of what's wrong with this one. We're going to have to open the skull.
@Zerglingman@truth no this really is less than a decade old. The previous climate change was grifters ('scientists') securing funding with deliberately bad research.
@Owl@PraxisOfEvil this is like saying that monarchies never really existed, because if the King pissed off the right people he'd just be assassinated (or "die oddly young", to credulous historians). Voting mattered enough to get Trump in. Voting mattered enough in 2020 for them to, after already trying to steal the election in a hundred different ways, break out a 101st way in a panic on election night after Trump had clearly won in spite of all the cheating. That overt cheating wasn't free or without consequences. Voting also worked well enough to require them to finally impose gay marriage through the courts, and gosh isn't the left so happy with the courts making heavy handed decisions lately? And also if voting never mattered, immigrant bloc voting isn't a problem either. "Voting doesn't matter" is a brand of boomer faith that someone somewhere has things completely under control.
@Owl@PraxisOfEvil Yeah, actually. If you had a single coherent position, it would be weird for me to agree with part of it and deny the rest of it. But because you're swapping between extreme and mild statements, it's easy to simply agree with the mild statements while denying the extreme ones. Voting matters, and yet if everyone on our side ignores politics except to vote every couple of years, our situation won't improve.
@hn50 > It's not a 'vulnerability'. It's allowing people to use the models without the morals of a small number of SV engineers being impressed on you.
@MK2boogaloo@Zerglingman@greentext if you're in the OP, listen: everyone secretly knows you're not high. They all get it. Stop resenting their kindness and just shrug and say 'sorry boss' when he's complaining that his clearly druggy employee has forgotten some workspace detail yet again.
@sysrq@MK2boogaloo consider every isekai novel: G-rank hunters are the worst. F-rank are above them. so it goes with E, D, C, B, A. A-rank hunters are the best so far. But they aren't the best! The best is S-rank.
In an insane system like this, there's no telling what's next. Secret S+ rank unveiled: Z-rank hunters.
@poastoak@Terry the other easily-expected outcome is that he's not going to get any kudos from his enemies for cucking for them. The *sole* outcome of acts like this is to attack your own supporters.
@Adamski@Rasterman@Terry@poastoak he does all this mocking, says people have the memory of a gnat, says NYT and NBC are lying "nothing but crap" ... and then he says that NYT and NBC have true headlines: he *did* edit the video to remove BLM references. Explaining a decision doesn't un-make the decision. It's not even adequate to say that cucking didn't happen: if rights for specific footage was the problem, why wasn't it replaced with similar footage? BLM riot footage was in the video intentionally, and now it's not there intentionally. The handy excuse of a copyright problem only applies to the specific footage, not "BLM riot footage".
It's very irritating to see someone call the media liars and be wrong. How do you even do that, accidentally, when they lie as much as they do?
@Zerglingman@lina@akorenchkin@mangeurdenuage it's not as bad as Japanese because it's very phonetic, without kanji, and because it's more closely related to English (it's still pretty distant, but Korean/Japanese grammar is super weird) and shares some basic Indo-European words, even before you get into recent English words that Japanese also has a lot of. You can learn the Russian qwerty keyboard layout (that's different on every single OS) and be comfortable in a day. You can write programs to manipulate and pull out Russian text very easily. Kanji makes Japanese input massively less convenient, and for programs even hiragana/katakana/romanji transforms are unpleasant because you lose information going through romanji. I got good enough to Chinese to have a job in it and it's so much less *convenient* than Russian, it's really striking how the little things add up.
but it's also worse than Japanese in that the sounds are harder: Japanese is almost like Spanish in how simple the sounds are for an English speaker, but Russian has the totally unfamiliar vowel ы and an inscrutable 'softness' vs. 'hardness' of consonants, books telling you that you have to say a 'y' at the same time as you're saying something else, etc. In English you raise your tone to indicate a question throughout the sentence, but in Russian you raise inflection on a single syllable in a sentence to indicate what you're asking about, and you don't raise inflection if you have a question word (who, what, where). And although Kanji's a lot to remember (worse than Chinese in the variability of the hiragana readings, and highly technical Japanese may as well be Chinese for how numerous the kanji are), Russian verbs have *huge* conjugation tables and Russian weirdly takes motion-verbs incredibly seriously.
for use as a pirate language, Russian's great. Specifically for a weeb, there's a lot of anime and manga and translated webnovels, and Russian doesn't have trannylators who aggressively use they/them. But, if you learn Japanese there are storefronts that as a westerner you can easily buy from to get the water straight from the spring. Even if you know Russian, sanctions make it difficult to buy anything from Russian sites.
And learning Russian doesn't help at all if you want to watch Japanese vtubers.
