@itsfoss on desktop, stability above all
on laptop, a better balance between stability and performance would be sweet, mostly for the battery life

@itsfoss this is your first post about fedora since i follow your account, and I decided to give a try to that distro for the first time and installed it on my laptop around 3 or 4 hours before your post
what an interesting coincidence
@itsfoss On a phone, it might not be very comfortable to use
On the other hand, linux on a tablet + wireless keyboard could work well as a laptop
And seeing how the best value-price of productivity devices is usually on tablets, going as low as 150€ for a new samsung tablet with usable enough RAM and CPU and quite good battery, this could add the usefulness value that tablets were missing
Honestly, ever since android 12L, Google's priority seems to have become making tablets very appealing
@itsfoss allowing me to install the newest version of almost any distro in a 2010 netbook without any workarounds and still be fairly usable for some simple stuff
@itsfoss my first experience was with mint, so pretty good except when I wanted to download something from mint's software center: confusing why a system package and a flatpak took such different amounts of storage for the same program and having some libraries and system components mixed around in there felt incredibly confusing
other than that, using the system was as easy as windows, customizing the cinnamon desktop was very easy, downloading debs and appimages was easy too. No problems
@nixCraft cant wait to use that combined with valve's rumored ARM port of steam to finally play pc games on a tablet
@itsfoss "edge"
@itsfoss Zorin: got tired of the gnome desktop
Kubuntu: got tired if snaps in apt
Debian: A slightly newer kernel would be nice, but the stability makes me able to use my PC without any problems (KDE Desktop)
Mint: it just works, probably the only distro I've ever used with the right balance between stability, new kernels easy to customize and zero need for the terminal (other than when I want to use it)
Arch: Did a successfull install the 4th attempt... erased the partition later :roundboi:
@itsfoss I've actually been using it for nearly a year! It sure helps to have a persistent notification that makes me aware that I've been using the phone for a little too long
Only problem I had with it is that one day it changed from going back to 0 minutes at midday instead of midnight and it has stayed that way for half a year. But it's still 24 hours, so no big deal
