@foone MobyGames can be and always has been very exacting about differentiating games. We're lucky the update a year or two ago let you parent different game versions together. Before that, you had to pretend a single game somehow constituted a franchise.

@foone Meanwhile, I'm fucking about with 18th century literary theory in the course of analyzing this.

@foone Turing equivalence dictates that one Turing complete system can perform the same tasks as any other. It says nothing about performing those tasks as efficiently as the other systems.

@foone You could always trace down whatever version of Deluxe Paint or Amiga OS somebody used to create this and grab the fonts they used for it.

@foone This is from the latest version. OpenAI hard-patched it to avoid answering that prompt.

@foone Assuming this is related to Death Generator: this is going to become hell the minute you hit Japanese games and have to figure out which encoding method, if any, they've decided on this time.

@foone I'm the inverse, in that while I acknowledge the metric system's superiority over imperial, I still prefer using miles over kilometers because walking twenty minutes every day instilled in me the intuition that a mile is twenty minutes' worth of walking.

@foone Right to left is reserved for vertical writing. Ever since I want to say the post-War era*, Japanese has always defaulted to left to right whenever it had to give something direction along a horizontal axis.

@foone Third option (which I'm not going to do, but do want to point out is an option): playing old games with Snes9x-style scaling algorithms - maybe even with vanilla Kega Fusion - as a kind of counter-nostalgia out of spite.

@foone Soft rubber dimples with a hard clicking mechanism if you press hard enough (slightly more than you'd use typing on a regular keyboard) on them, like clicking the top of a pen to bring the point in or out.
The clicking mechanism does absolutely nothing.
