   I'm kinda surprised, in retrospect, that I've never seen a Japanese application that's had a progress bar that goes from right to left.

     @foone Right to left is reserved for vertical writing. Ever since I want to say the post-War era*, Japanese has always defaulted to left to right whenever it had to give something direction along a horizontal axis.
