24.2 is a major release number, and will be followed by minor release numbers 24.2.1, 24.2.2, 24.2.3, ..., as in the past

@the5thColumnist Because LibreOffice 24.2 hasn't been released yet. As the post you're replying to says, it comes "with a new year.month version scheme". This is a common request from end users, to make the version number more meaningful, so they know if they're using an old version!

@schroedingershund @3mind Yes, it is something we consider quite often! They can be very complex and time-consuming to run, as you mentioned, but maybe we can set up something manageable one day...

@drakenblackknight @mycotropic There'll be an Android version if someone steps up to work on it, or funds a developer! In the meantime, as we have very limited resources, we're focusing mostly on the desktop app...

@jarjan @ChallengeApathy You might want to switch to the tabbed user interface (via the View menu), as that may be more familiar to many users!

@GypsumFantastic That really shouldn't be happening, but it's hard to say what the cause could be, without more details about your setup. Please ask the community on https://ask.libreoffice.org with details (LibreOffice version, macOS version, document format, where you're saving it etc.) and someone should be able to help 👍
