A bit trivial this, but the (v 7.6) documenation for the TRUNC function says it rounds towards zero, and that “ the resulting number will always be less than or equal to the original number”. Well it does round towards zero - meaning that negative numbers result in a value greater than the original number. Better perhaps to say that “the resulting number will always be nearer to zero than the resulting number”.
