LibreOffice (libreoffice@fosstodon.org)'s status on Wednesday, 24-Jan-2024 22:29:21 JST LibreOffice @the5thColumnist Because LibreOffice 24.2 hasn't been released yet. As the post you're replying to says, it comes "with a new year.month version scheme". This is a common request from end users, to make the version number more meaningful, so they know if they're using an old version!
