@mntmn I use one business critical SaaS tool, because it solved my problem right away, I don’t have time to build something myself and FOSS alternatives lacked functionality. Luckily it exports to json. I wouldn’t have considered it if I couldn’t retrieve my data easily. Is that a trade off you could make with linear? I don’t know the tool, so I’m not aware of its data export features.
@mntmn Have you looked at Affine.pro? I guess it won't be what you're looking for, but maybe you can make it work, so I mention it just in case. I have no personal experience with it, I recently came across it as an alternative to Notion. Based on what I see in the templates section, it seems like you can make it into almost anything... https://affine.pro/
@mntmn Semi-related: I recently switched to an e-mail provider that shows a pop-up with what’s actually in the href of a link in an html e-mail. The pop-up asks to confirm if you want to visit that url before you are redirected. It’s so simple, but makes it so much easier for the average Joe to recognize spam links.
@mntmn I gained a lot of respect for the Dutch railways when "enjoying" traveling by train through Germany earlier this month 😅 There were a lot of huge delays do to planned maintenance (a 10 hour trip became 18 hours). My experience is that those situations are handled a bit better by the Dutch railways. Last year to Berlin was trouble-free, though.
@mntmn Such a shame. One of the reasons I really like my ZSA Voyager keyboard is the fact that it uses QMK firmware and has regular key switches. Even if ZSA would go under or whatever, I can continue using my keyboard as intended. I have the convenience of a high quality pre-built keyboard with great tooling, without being held hostage by the company that created it (e.g. with proprietary drivers or custom switches). Win-win. They don’t make mouses, unfortunately.
@mntmn I do most of my computer related tasks in the terminal. I also prefer Sway over a fullblown desktop. Still I feel that Gnome gets too much hate. The polish they try to achieve, the user friendliness, the cohesive design. The Gnome apps are really well designed. It’s something we should be appreciative of as a community, imho, even if it’s not for us. I also think that Gnome has one of the best shots of ever becoming a competitive on tablet/phone. One can hope 😅🤞🏻
@mntmn how many wrong schematics are there? Can’t you print the schematics separately and add a card telling the buyer they have an exclusive and limited edition handbook? 😀
@mntmn Besides the logo looking rather cool, your waybar config as a whole is pretty neat. I love the minimal but polished look. I havent managed to get mine this clean. Dotfiles anywhere? 😁
