@mntmn @xha by the way, there orange pi has released cm5 on rk3588s I think for pocket reform it is more suitable option than modules with rk3588.
-
@mntmn @darth In the case of RISC-V, anyone can absolutely legally make their own CPU and put its code in the public domain. This is actively used, there are many open cores for both silicon and FPGA.
-
@mntmn @vidister by the way, what if you add a linear vibration motor to the trackpad module and do trackball emulation like it's done in Steam Deck.
-
@mntmn @theawesomerandomness will it have a PCIe output on one of these FPC connectors?
-
@mntmn also true, but in idea it is possible to provide an opportunity to put an external multiplexer, leaving space for it in the case. As it was with video signal corverters in the case of mnt reform. And so it will turn out even more universal, because the external multiplexer will allow besides usb3 and displayport, also to realize usb4 in the future or will give an opportunity to output PCIe to usb-c and many other things.
-
@mntmn ideally the Alibaba TH1520 or SpacemiT K1
-
@mntmn are there plans to release a version on RISC-V processors?
-
@mntmn It would be nice if mnt reform next will be able to get USB4 in the future, rk3588 has everything you need(PCIe, DisplayPort, USB, I2C) to connect a discrete USB4 controller.
