@thatguyoverthere maybe it's because #ARM does better multithreading and has more fixed function units spechalozed for it?

Clock Speeds and Cores ain't the only criteria: A 6700K will run circles around a pair of X5550's...

Sadly, it looks like no one was able to solve the issues around creating a Node.js build for Musl on arm64, so it looks like Kitten¹ won’t be available on @postmarketOS on mobile phones, etc., in the foreseeable future (unless someone with the necessary knowledge and time can step up right away before this commit is reverted).

Wonder if anyone has any ideas why the new Alpine Linux musl/ARM64 Node.js build is failing and/or can help fix it.

If we can get this fixed soon-ish (before it’s reverted) it’ll mean – among other things – that Node.js will run on @postmarketOS on phones and other mobile devices.

If somebody can tell me where the #linux #kernel gets its root-partition-UUID from, I'd be really glad.

I'm trying to boot an old #Chromebook from SD-Card, the kernel comes up, it "waits" for its own partition to come up as root, fails to recognize it (as it only contains the kernel itself), and crash out. The real rootfs is left untouched by the kernel.
