Don't forget, those very same institutions that have been saying how you can say whatever you want in Ukraine, and overal painting Ukraine as the ultra freedom loving "liberals" since 2022/02/22 have all been saying how oppressive and corrupt Ukraine is up until 2022/02/21.
So if they can just pull a 1984 on this one (sudden shift from Oceania vs Eurasia to Oceania vs Eastasia claiming that Oceania has always been Eurasia's best allies and have always been at war with Eastasia, and the population just believing it without any questioning), then how seriously do you think I'll be taking this video clip?
What's wrong about an adult liking Pokemon?
Might have been weird 2 decades ago, but at least here in Japan for many adults today Pokemon is still as much of a nostalgia as things like Superman or Batman are to American adults (at least, before they went woke).
My guess is rather that the whole chip shortage thing was more related to the NFT hype that made people buy up graphics cards like a motherfucker, because:
1. We didn't have a chip shortage over here, at least not from what I could see in neither physical nor online stores.
2. There was a sudden abundance of chips as soon as NFTs were considered no longer popular.
As for maintaining a server for a storefront, it doesn't require much, you can host one on a low spec server pretty easily even.
If anything, AWS would be the more expensive option, due to their billing scheme (I haven't worked with it as much to know for sure, but I know I've been pointing and laughing a lot at people who fell for the AWS meme, only to then get impossibly high invoices to pay, and then they cope whenever I say "I told you so!").
I avoid most of those videos, but sometimes I just click on them due to a lack of something else to watch and with nothing better to do.
And Unreal in this sense is the Unreal Engine, the engine that was used to make Unreal Tournament, but others can use it too to make their own games.
Which reminds me to this guy who does have a clear title, and the video is actually about what the video and thumbnail are saying (although audio-only, video is just because JewTube doesn't support audio-only): https://youtube.owacon.moe/watch?v=Qqx3HsTZW2E
Honestly, piracy doesn't cause lost sales at all.
If you provide a good product, it will actually increase sales even!
Because let's be realistic, there are 3 types of pirates: those who don't have the money needed to buy it at the time, those who are skeptical of the product in question (think censorshit, not enough raw footage available to come to the conclusion that it's actually worth it), and those who are in a region where the product is unavailable (like region locking, or Ruzzians right now).
If you don't have the money to buy something you want, you pirate now, and pay back later when you do have the money.
If you prevent someone from pirating, it doesn't magically spawn money into somebody's wallets, and after a while the person in question forgets the product exists, and just never buys even after they get the money.
Now with rampant censorshit, you better be skeptical of a product or you'll get scammed.
Pirates notably have the superior version for free, so you could pirate, and still buy the non-pirated version if you liked it, or just not buy it and delete it from your computer if you disliked it.
And people in certain regions simply don't have access to it, so they can choose between importing (and depending on the country you live in, you'll have to pay either the postal service, or the government, or both as a punishment for importing something) or pirating, or just wait until it's available in your region, but chances are high that the version in your region is more censored.
In the past it used to be that the last region got the most bugs fixed, but nowadays it's that the last region got the most censorshit.
Hell, if I were them I'd do what Rumble did.
France demanded Rumble to censor RT, but instead they made themselves unavailable to French IP addresses, which is the way you handle busy bodies that only want to completely destroy the entire internet just because they fear they're losing out on 2 or 3 sales (which they don't).
I don't think he ever turned 11 to begin with.
Although he does look (and also behave) more mature in X & Y, and looks and behave as a little kid in Sun & Moon.
I absolutely hated his Sun & Moon design, it led me to skip that entire generation.
Although I heard quite a few good things happened, like Team Rocket finally winning for once.
Also, how the fuck do you even combine "securely store your data" and "AWS" in the same sentence!?
It's either "securely store your data", or "store your data on AWS", not both at the same time!
"Nexon has millions of dollars to throw around."
And yet they still use the Unreal ASSet store which they then claim as their own...
I mean, it's common for small devs to use ASSets made by total strangers (kind of like NPM/PIP/Cargo/Composer/whatever packages, but for video gaymes), but a big one?
Come on man!
I haven't been into one since the beginning of 2020, but looking from the outside (I technically went inside, but was given the bird when I refused to wear a face diaper, so fuck them), they do.
Shitter raging about people not wearing face diapers.
Most likely all bots and/or paid shills, because that's what Shitter almost entirely consists of anyway, but if you still legit believe in the covAIDS and still legit support an apartheid system against no-maskers, then just neck yourself!
I shouldn't start with Mastodon, installing it is rather tedious.
Pleroma is easy to install, and I guess Rebased/Soapbox is too, considering that the latter is a fork of Pleroma.
And by this, Akkoma should be easy to install too, but that one is so full of bugs, I don't think you'll like it.
GNU Social is easy to install, but requires the already EOL PHP 7.4, and it's quite different from the other big softs.
Then there's GoToSocial and honk. for single user only instances, which is really just a matter of dropping it onto a server, run it in the background, and you're done, but GoToSocial is alpha quality software according to their developers, and honk. feels like you're behind a prison with no connection to the outside world at all.
The sad thing about Soapbox is that just like with 99% of the other Fedi frontends instead of being opt-in JS, it's either enable JS or die.
Besides, having a preference of using Docker over installing software the correct way is pretty much a red flag.
I mean not for the end user, I mean for the developer.
It just shows you're yet another soydev who can't even make a simple "hello world" program without importing a gazillion different dependencies and going through billions of different classes and objects.
