Put a mini red dot on top of your scope and save the canted sights for backup.

For an AR, the ACOG+T2/RMR setup is the way right now. I run my stuff on QD mounts and have buis in the normal location to keep it ambi. If your ACOG and your Aimpoint fail, you're probably already dead anyways.
