gentoobroC is about all you're going to get in reality. Anything newer will be full of hipster bullshit, like Rust or C++, and rapidly turn into an unreadable clusterfuck. Even the worst C I've ever read, short of IOCCC caliber, is more readable and maintainable than merely average "modern" C++ code.
